In the description for this case it says, Material: Plastic, however, this case is made of thin metal. Aluminum, maybe? I don't know, becase it came with very little information. The package says it's a "PSP Go Crystal/Silicon/Metal" case.

Huh? What the heck is that supposed to mean? It's metal alright, but there is no "Crystal" or Silicon" involved. The case is thin, light weight metal with a soft, felt-like material liner. There are no clips or other means of attaching the case to the PSPgo. It just slips on, and then later slips off, because the only thing holding it on is the friction of the felt liner.

From the "Material: Plastic" description I was expecting something else. A girlfriend of mine recently got a rubberized plastic case for her phone that looked very similar to this (at least from the pictures). Her phone has a similar slider mechanism for its keyboard, and the case she has clips on securely, but does not interfere with the slider at all. The phone case also has a nice grippy surface, while this PSPgo case is even more slippery than the Go itself.

On top of that, the case has sharp edges that dig into your hands while holding it, and it gets pretty uncomfortable during an extended gaming session. Oh, and you can pretty much forget about using the "Display" button, the "Sound" button, or the volume controls while your PSPgo is in this case. They are nearly impossible to access unless your fingers are tiny or you have sharp nails. All other controls and ports are accessible and usable.

Installing the case required quite a bit of "adjustment" as the case top did not fit well out of the box. A few minutes of gently bending things here and there resulted in a good fit. The bottom is actually pretty secure, but the top does not fit very tightly due to the angular shape of the PSPgo. While the felt liner did provide enough grip to hold the top in place, most of the time, it did require me to push down on it from time to time to keep it snug. In addition to the soft liner, the top should have some kind of low tack adhesive, or something that clips over the edge to hold it in place.

On the plus side, it is a really nice looking case, and it adds practically no bulk to the PSPgo. It should also be good at protecting the body of the Go from scratches. Because of this I used the case for a week and really tried to like it, but in the end I took it off. For me this case was a disappointment. Part of that was because I was expecting something else (something more like my friend's phone case). It's not a horrible case, and I'm sure there are people who will like it, but it's not what I was looking for.

For the price I paid it's not worth returning. I'm thinking with some modifications it may be usable (the sharp edges would have to be softened somehow, and some low tack adhesive should keep the top in place) but I don't have the time or patience to deal with it now. If I can't find another solution I like I may try to "fix" this one.
